Editorial Policy

How Prefetial chooses topics, checks claims, names writers, dates articles and handles corrections and commercial links.

Why this page exists

Everything published on prefetial.online takes the same route from idea to page. This document explains that route so you can judge our work fairly.

Yes, some outbound links pay. What they pay for is the hosting bill, not the wording of the assessment sitting next to them.

Nobody has ever bought the removal of a fair criticism here, and the ones who try mostly hand us the material for the next article.

What the date means

The date on an article is the date it was published. When a change alters the advice, we update the modified date and say what changed. Cosmetic edits do not reset the date, because pretending a page is fresher than it is helps nobody.

The drafting process

  1. The writer collects what they already know and marks the parts they cannot support.
  2. Those parts are checked against a primary source, an operator document, or direct experience.
  3. What survives step two goes into the draft. What does not is cut.
  4. A second person reads the draft for claims that sound firmer than the evidence behind them.

Bylines

Each piece is signed, and each signature is a link to everything else that person has written. A house byline would let a weak article hide; a real name does not.

Esme Caldwell, Focus and work writer. Esme writes about attention and meaningful work, skeptical of hustle culture and focused on what genuinely helps.

Julian Rask, Time and organization writer. Julian covers time management and organization for real, messy lives rather than idealized ones.

Nadia Belov, Habits and tools writer. Nadia writes about habit change and productivity tools, translating behavior research into things people can actually do.

What earns a page

We do not plan an editorial calendar. Articles appear when a question has come up often enough to be worth answering properly.

What we will not publish

  • Guarantees. Nobody in this field can honestly offer one.
  • Filler written to occupy a topic rather than to answer it.
  • Anything we would be embarrassed to defend in person.

Corrections

Write to [email protected] with the page address and what is wrong. Factual errors are fixed quickly. If the correction changes the conclusion of a piece, we add a short note at the foot of the page rather than quietly editing it.
